What are dentures?

Dentures are a removable prosthetic appliance fabricated to replace missing teeth and their adjacent tissues.

Different types of dentures include:
  • Complete dentures
    • This type of denture replaces all of the teeth and their adjacent tissues.
  • Removable partial dentures
    • Removable partial dentures replace missing teeth and use the remaining natural teeth as anchors.
  • Implant retained overdenture
    • A removable appliance that incorporates the use of multiple implants to serve as anchors, helping to hold the partial or complete denture in place for a more natural looking smile and a more confident and comfortable result.
Overdentures
Dentures that clip onto a substructure over natural teeth or implants.
